Meet puppy Princess Sara...and comic Laurie Thompson

For her birthday, we got my mother a puppy (she's been wanting one forever).

She's a purebred Pekingese who has been tentatively named "Sara"...but I call her 'Princess Sara' because she already seems to know she's in charge.

Here's a photo of the little monster, her first day 'home'...courtesy my brother Mark and his wife Denise. She spent a busy afternoon yesterday frolicking with their little boy, Luke, and exploring every nook and cranny we'd let her into.

Gee, it's tough being a puppy. So much demanded of you.

While we're on the subject of demanding audiences, an acquaintance of mine, Laurie Thompson, will be on the bill this Friday night, May 12th at 10:00 pm at "Weezie's" in Morgantown, West Virginia. If you're coming into town for Sunday's WVU commencement (once again, they did not ask me to speak, ::sniff::), it's a good choice.
