To do list for early 2007

1) Professional manicure.
2) Drop another 25 lbs.
3) Make triply sure those damn books are out of print.
4) Serious roadwork.
5) Lock down the World Record attempt.
6) February 12th...never again.
7) Revise Radio City of Legends to a leaner, more professional focus.
8) Burn a few bridges.
9) Build some new ones.
10) Kiss someone deserving of a passion lambent.

I accept the fact that there isn't enough time for the roses. Now, to pluck the proper orchid.

Good Morning Poet.

In regard to your number ten:

Dark is the hour; long the night;
Hoarfrost sheds a shimmering light;
The wind in the naked woodland cries
A harplike music; the willow sighs.
But a marvellous quiet dwells in heaven-
Sirius, Markab, the faithful Seven-
For the Old Year's sands are well-nigh run;
This is the Birthday of the Sun.

.....

...Airs of the morn in the orchard flow;

Lo, in the
apple boughs,
MISTLETOE!

For the Old Year's sands are well-nigh run;

This is the Birthday
of the
Sun....

From De La Mare's poem:
Christmas Eve

-a

Your poems are my mistletoe.

Blowing you a tender kiss of thanks-
(just duck if you'd rather let it pass you by)

Thank you.

What's the Story, Morning Glory?

Re: Plucking the Proper Orchid
Would that be musically?
Like plucking a harp or guitar string?
Hmmm.
