The Greatest Holiday Movies

I'd like to see what other films are considered as amongst the greatest Chritsmas or Holiday-themed movies of all time. My top ten list would have to include:

1. Love Actually
2. A Christmas Story
3. It's a Wonderful Life
4. The Santa Claus

But what other films? "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians"? "Home Alone II"? "Black Christmas"? "White Christmas"? "Holiday Inn"?

C'mon, let's get some opinions.

My favorite is The Nightmare Before Christmas

Rev. D.,

I've got two minutes-
It is very simple.
Miracle on __ Street.
Essentially about hope and faith.
Yes Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus.

You should know, however, that any movie can be a holiday movie, if you are watching it snuggled up next to a person who holds Chirstmas in his/her heart all year.

Proof: Janis Joplin has a line in a song: "It's all the same FN day." Everyday can be Christmas, if you want it to be.

Oh. I'd forgotten the Littlest Angel was a movie too...

I'm glad it wasn't the Miracle on 42nd Street-That would have been an entirely different movie.

If you are the Rondalaire who suggested the Naked Reads CD, you have good instints. It is good to have your cake and hear it too.

What does Rondalaire mean, or is that private? It has a pretty sound.

All good choices, for the most part. What about "Bad Santa"...especially for Lauren Graham.

-Bad Santa, the movie?

Not a fan. I liked the actors, but personally found the movie a little common. I never finished it. At the time I wasn't in the mood for something dark and depressing. At the time I wanted an escapist holiday movie.
When someone I used to know rented it, I gave it a shot, but quickly became bored with the lack of inspiration. My first impression did not win me over, I'd be hard pressed to try it again. What's your view, Romantic Poet of the Internet? Did I miss something? Did you find anything redeeming about it?

P.S. You just don't mess with Santa.
